2010 Coaching Staff

Head Coach & General Manager, Mike Anhaeuser (michael.anhaeuser@charlestonbattery.com)

Mike Anhaeuser joined the Charleston Battery as a player in 1994 after graduating from Indiana University where he won a NCAA Championship in 1988. Anhaeuser played six seasons as a midfielder for the Battery and still ranks 5th all-time in games played (115) and 2nd all-time in assists (17).

Anhaeuser switched to a coaching role in 1999 after tearing his ACL during pre-season. The Fort Wayne, IN native was Alan Dicks’ assistant-coach from 1999-2001 and then Chris Ramsey’s from 2002-2004. Anhaeuser was a key member of the Battery coaching staff that won the USL First Division Championship in 2003. In 2007 Anhaeuser was named the USL1 Coach of the Year. In 2008 Anhaeuser led the Battery to the final of the US Open Cup.

Mike Anhaeuser lives in Mount Pleasant, SC with his wife Kim and their two children, Lauren and Derek.



Assistant Coach, Ian Fuller (ianfu@charlestonbattery.com)

Ian Fuller returns to the Charleston Battery for a fifth year and will serve as the Battery's assistant coach in addition to playing for the team. Fuller has played 93 games for the Battery scoring 10 goals and adding 8 assists.

Ian Fuller’s has also played for the USL1 Vancouver Whitecaps, the USL1 Rochester Rhinos and Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution. Prior to turning pro Fuller was a four-year starter at Clemson University.
