Charleston SC. Oktoberfest on Daniel Island will be held at Blackbaud Stadium, Saturday, October 2 from 2 pm – 8 pm. There will be live German Oompah music by the Hans Schmidt Band and Die Alpenhof Musikanten plus other live music, food specials including bratwurst and knockwurst, beer specials with authentic German beers plus all attendees will receive a free 22 oz commemorative mug courtesy of T-Bonz.
Other activities include barrel races and three-legged races and dancing with chicken dance, polka and waltzing. Children’s events include mini-soccer games on the stadium field, a Mountain Wall and Slide, Human Foosball, Jump Castle, a Hot-Shot Power-Kick game and face painting.
During the day there will be a corporate challenge event where teams representing different local companies will compete in a variety of events including tug-o-war, barrel races, three-legged races and bratwurst eating competitions. To register a team please call 971-4625 x 214.
